The glaze falls away from edges, allowing some of the clay to be seen through it (as it was meant to). I was told by an instructor to layer less on edges next time, so there's less flow away from the edges on the handle or rim, though it makes for a nice looking effect, it may not be good for mug use. This line of glazes probably look best on white clay, but I do like how it looks against darker clay too.
