The nose is underglazed using my community studio's pink underglaze, but I imagine Amaco's Velvet Underglazes would produce comparable results. Beyond this, since none of the glazes were layered, none of them moved or ran much and remained very stable.
The gnome design was inspired by the handbuilt gnomes that Hobble Creek Pottery makes. She has a tutorial on YouTube for anyone who would like to make their own.
