Lava Rock is probably my favourite Mayco Glaze, Alone it is the most beautiful silky satin brown, and in combination with many other glazes can blend that silky satin crystalization with gloss in ways that really sparkle. Very sensitive to the ratio of the two glazes as well as the speed of cooling in the kiln, can go from a deep blue gloss to a matte army green (see last two picks).
